We had our first gig on Saturday back at the Farmhouse which is now under new management. All good and we’re booked again for the end of August. Photographer from Venue magazine was buzzing about and seems we may appear in the next issue along with his feature about the pub.

I spoke with Angie at the Robin Hood and understandably she’s decided to give up both the pubs. She’ll be leaving the RH at the end of June. I’m hoping to get the band to come along for a drink on the last Saturday night that she’ll be there and wish her well.

Had a good weekend rehearsing and recording the demo and we successfully got three good tracks down and mixed on to CD.  Just need to package it and then we should be ready to despatch to some gig venues.

We’re having more regular rehearsals and everyone agreed that it’s time to go into the studio and record a decent demo. It’s the only way we’re going to get more gigs so here’s hoping we book a date soon.

I received the terrible and tragic news that Barry (landlord of the Farmhouse & the Robin Hood) died last week. All my thoughts are with Angie, his partner.

Rehearsals & gigs in the diary for High Jingo which feels good. 

We had such a wicked gig last night - great atmosphere and lots of positive feedback.  Must have been the full moon/eclipse.  Still not very many people but Barry (landlord) is hoping it’ll pick up with time.

I’m thinking more and more about singing again… won’t be long now I feel.

Had a good rehearsal with the full HJ band and tried out some of the numbers we’ve been playing at the Farmhouse.  Agreed a gig date for the Farmhouse too which I need to book with Angie.  Ben’s on sabbatical from HJ now until after his wedding though he’s agreed to do two more of the Farmhouse Guapos Jingo dates.
